Chardon Leisure in Helensburgh is owned and run by father and daughter team Maurice and Nicola Taylor and it is one of the firms in contention for gongs at this year’s Glasgow Business Awards. The hotel will compete for a prize in both the Best Family Business and Best Performing Large Business categories.
The duo will be attending the ceremony in Glasgow and are intending to take several staff members from the hotel with them, with Maurice telling the Helensburgh Advertiser that they would not be in this position were it not for the hard work of their team.
Having launched the company back in the early 1970s, Maurice continues to play an active role in running it, alongside his daughter. Speaking to the Advertiser, he said:
“It is an absolute honour for Chardon Leisure to be recognised in this way, especially in categories which include some of the finest companies this country has ever produced.”
