Staff at the local branch of Cancer Research UK, which is located on Sinclair Street, are using an initiative called Stand up to Cancer as the basis for their fundraising efforts.
This was created to help speed up research into a cure for the disease, and the employees of the shop have brought in £650 so far, with their final target being £3,000.
They have until the end of November to reach that figure, with their most recent scheme having been a fundraising event held within the shop, featuring a raffle, bake sale and bucket collection.
It secured them £275, and the shop’s manager, Mark Cavana, told the Helensburgh Advertiser that any money generated would contribute towards local cancer research.
“It’s been a massive help. The majority of the money we make goes straight back into research and it stays locally as well with places like the Beatson Centre so people can see where the money gets used locally.”
The shop will be able to rely on those places that offer full colour printing in Helensburgh, if it wants to produce eye-catching Posters to help with its fundraising.
Several further events will be held over the next two months.Get a Free Quote for Posters
