Gillian Logan came up with the idea for the drawing kit called ‘Skinny Sketcher Architecture’ after she attended the event at Helensburgh’s Hermitage Primary School, and it has now won her a UK Independent Toy Award from Toy Shop. Having hit the stores for the first time during 2015, her toy has been a huge hit, with more than 100 stores now stocking it – including Helensburgh’s own Toy Shop outlet.
Logan devised the kit after she gave a demonstration related to architecture during the show and tell at the school, at which her son is a pupil. She subsequently realised that there were very few children’s drawing kits suitable for both boys and girls available in the shops. Skinny Sketcher offers six kits for children of seven and older, enabling them to create freehand drawings.
Speaking to the Helensburgh Advertiser, Logan stated that:
“The award felt extra special because it is judged by independent retailers who have been fantastic advocates for Skinny Sketcher.”
There are now Plans to launch the toy nationally and toy shops often rely on places that provide full colour printing to help create exciting Posters and displays for the products they offer.Get a Free Quote for Posters Get a Free Quote for Plans
