Beer and Gin Festival coming back to Helensburgh

The organisers of the popular annual Beer and Gin Festival in Helensburgh have confirmed that the event will take place again this spring, following two years of cancellations.

The last time that Helensburgh and District Round Table was able to put together this event – known as the ‘best wee fest in the west’ – was back in 2019, due to the Covid-19 crisis. In 2020, lockdown prevented it from happening, while last year it was doubts about the ability to organise it in a way that complied with ongoing public health restrictions.

Now it is back though and the organisers will be hoping for attendances to match the 2,000-plus people who took part in the festival two years ago. The location for it will once again be the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre. Before 2019, Helensburgh Sailing Club had been the regular festival venue.

Flyer printing provided by shops in the town can be a useful complement to online advertising when it comes to promoting local events such as this one.

According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, the organisers announced its return via Facebook with a post stating that:

“We’re back baby. The social event of the year, nae messin’. Stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks and months.”

The 13th Beer and Gin Festival will be held on 20th and 21st May.
