Balloch Library to update facilities

In some long overdue and very welcome news, Balloch Library is to finally get some new toilets for the public to use.  Currently with no public loo, the library is to have around £20,000 spent on the new toilets which will a big relief to library users.

In more good news for the library and its users, there will be a major upgrade to the IT section as well as the government has provide a grant of £30,000 to increase the number of computers that the public can use from 6 to 12.  This is tying in with the West College online learning as well and means that the users in the library can access more courses than ever before from the library.  Free wifi was installed last year and has proved popular with library users

With all this happening, along with routine improvements and upgrades, the library will sadly have to be closed for one week, although the full programme will take a further five weeks to be completed.  Apart from the one week of full closure, the library will be open as per normal hours.

Works like this together with all the benefits can be brought to the users attention when local printers are used to produce informative leaflets letting the public know what can now be done.
