Balloch residents have some great news with the recent refurbishment of their local library! It has had a £111k refit with what is called a digital learning centre. Two thirds of the total cost came from the Council with the rest coming from a public/private collaboration involving Glasgow Kelvin College and the Wheatley Group along with the Scottish Government.
This is the first time that this sort of development has happened in the area and the Centre will have 12 computers and free Wi-Fi too. Users can access online College courses and also receive IT training.
The building has also undergone some improvements in terms of access and public toilets too, as well as general decoration and flooring upgrades.
If local printers are brought on board, then leaflets could be available for library users letting them know that this new facility is now open and available.
