Award for shop owner from Helensburgh

A woman from Helensburgh who runs her own shop has secured a prize in recognition of the high standard of her window display, and will now be heading to Sweden for a spa break worth £2,000.

Lucy Paterson is the owner of the Scandinavian Shop, which is located on Sinclair Street. She won first prize in the window display competition – which was open to independent retailers based throughout the country and was created by Forma House, the giftware and home distribution firm.

The purpose behind it was to mark Sagaform’s autumn and winter range of products. This company designs Scandinavian-themed kitchen products. Speaking to the Helensburgh Advertiser, Lucy stated that the award had left her surprised but delighted, adding that:

“Being a Scandinavian-themed store, we have a huge passion for Swedish design and cannot wait to explore the country further and, of course, to take a well-earned break from our business too.”

She went on to say that she felt that Ross, her husband, was even more pleased by the prospect of spending some time in the spa than she was – although both of them were looking forward to doing so.

Shops based within the town often choose to make use of catalogue printing, so that they are able to show off the products that they stock.
