The event is a collaboration between the Watford Chinese Centre for the Older People and Watford Chinese Association, with the aim behind the show being to mark the ‘year of the sheep’.
Among the acts that will be featured on the bill are several community and professional artists, who will perform a variety of unique displays under the direction of the Sinman Dance Company’s artistic director, Sin-man Yue.
The hosts for the night will be musician He Zou Jun and Watford Chinese Community School Principle Peony Hutchinson, and the organisers can call on brochure printers in Watford to provide programmes highlighting the line-up of acts.
Kim Wong, from the Watford Chinese Centre for the Older People, stated that:
“We welcome this opportunity to celebrate the Chinese New Year and to promote Chinese culture in the community.
“In the lunar calendar, the coming year is the year of the sheep. By nature, its characteristics are peace and harmony.”
Wong went on to state that the lively programme for the show would highlight the different performing arts from China and would make for an enjoyable experience for attendees.
The show will take place on Sunday, 1st March, with the doors opening at 4pm. Tickets can be purchased by phone.
