A show dedicated to the history and craft of UK situation comedy is set to take place in Watford this spring.
Entitled ‘Sitcom LEGENDS’, a show hosted by Robert Ross will now grace the stage of Watford’s Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre in April. Local venues like arts hubs and theatres often look to specialist poster printing services for promotional materials to advertise events and shows to the public.
Offering the ultimate day dedicated to classic comedies, the show comes on the heels of the venue’s successful event dedicated to Carry On films, which was held at the same time of year in 2022. Ross, who is a historian dedicated to British comedy, will present the event that celebrates some of the best comical television from days gone by.
The show will feature on-stage presentations and rarely seen clips. There will also be special guest stars for audience members to have a chance to meet and greet. Confirmed for the event so far are Brian Murphy, who played George Roper in the classic comedy Man About the House, and Linda Regan, who starred as April in the holiday camp classic Hi-De-Hi.
Sitcom LEGENDS will be live on stage at the Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre in Watford on Saturday, April 22. The doors to the venue will open at 11.30 am, with the show running until 6 pm.
