Watford Junction station closed for Bank Holiday

Poster printing companies in Watford may be called upon to let people know about train station closures in the next week, with three local stations shutting

down for rail improvement works.

As well as the closure of Watford Junction, Bushey and Kings Langley stations will be shut as the major works get started.

It will see the closure of the busy Watford to London Euston line, with no trains running south of Hemel Hempstead station.

The line will be closed from Friday, 3rd May to the Bank Holiday on Monday, 6th May. The works will also see the closure of the Abbey Flyer railway line throughout the weekend.

Many passengers needing to travel over the weekend will have to rely on rail replacement bus services, with poster printing for these schedules also needed. Passengers will be able to pick up the bus services from the front of Watford Junction station.

However, other passengers will be able to travel on Chiltern Railways into London Marylebone, whilst other train operators will also be running local and national services. The tube network is also not affected by the works.

The work will see the lines around Watford all being upgraded, at a cost of £81m. Lasting from now until April 2015, there will be a further seven closures in the next 12 months.

Most of the work will take place on bank holiday weekends.
