Watford gymnasts seek new venue

A Watford-based gymnastics club is searching for a new home.

Watford Gymnastics Club would like to find a permanent base. It has been accommodated by the YMCA, but this arrangement was only a temporary fix. Letterheads can be useful for a variety of organisations, allowing them to spread awareness of their location.

Fortunately, Watford Gymnastics Club has another temporary solution from which to operate. In the month of June, the staff will be putting on three classes a week from South Oxhey. The classes in question will take place in midweek and at the weekend.

Nickie O’Sullivan is the managing director of the club. She told the Watford Observer:

“We feel that we have all the support and the people involved that we need to but unfortunately no venue secured.”

When it comes to the specifics of a permanent building, O’Sullivan would like to secure a space exceeding 4,000 square feet, and it would be preferable if the height of the main room was above six metres. Suggestions from the public have been requested.

According to O’Sullivan, club members have demonstrated a lot of patience during a period of considerable uncertainty. The absence of a permanent centre has been difficult for the individuals to adjust to, while making gymnastics compliant with aspects of the pandemic response has also been a challenge.
