Watford festive lights switch on announced

Information has been revealed about the annual festive lights switch on in Watford, which should help residents of the town to start gearing up for Christmas.

This event will form part of the Winterfest celebrations. At a certain point in their four-hour duration, the display of LED lights will be turned on and Watford will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Before the town centre is lit up, there will be a special Christmas parade. This will begin at Lower High Street, from the Metro Bank, and will see a marching band and costumed characters head through the streets until they reach the town pond.

This parade is scheduled to last for roughly half an hour. The organisers of Winterfest are promising that there will be a variety of special guests taking part in it too.

Prior to the parade and the lights switch-on, the event will feature live music, stalls with hot drinks and food, funfair attractions and various Christmas-themed activities for local families.

Those who are putting together events of this sort sometimes turn to Watford shops that offer poster printing. That can help with the advertisement of the events, to ensure good attendances.

The entire Winterfest event, including the switching on of the Christmas lights, will be free to attend. It is due to take place on 23rd November, with the lights remaining until January.
