TV favourite comedian to hit Watford Palace Theatre

Chris McCausland will take his brand new show to Watford Palace Theatre this January.

Known for his cameos on television shows such as Have I Got News for You, QI and Would I Lie to You, this comedian may be a familiar face to many.

His new routine goes under the moniker ‘Yonks!’, which seems to be a reference to recent press reviews that left McCausland mystified. He was labelled as an ‘overnight success’ even though, as the comedian reminds us, he has “been doing this for yonks!”

A recent review in The List described McCausland’s performance as “a joke-heavy show with gags a-plenty,” while Ed Fest Magazine called the routine:
“Passionate and rib-tickling. An illuminating, heartfelt performance. Highly recommended!”

The 600-capacity theatre on Clarendon Road has a host of other performances coming up over the festive period, including Cinderella, The Nutcracker (ROH Live), and Bridget Christie (Who Am I?).

Performing arts events such as this are often promoted effectively in the local community with flyer printing campaigns.

Chris McCausland will appear at the Watford Palace Theatre on Friday, 19 January. Tickets are available now from the theatre website, priced from £22.50 to £90. McCausland’s last show was a sell-out, and bookings are already flooding in.

The show is set to start at 8pm, and there will be a support act to warm up the audience for half an hour beforehand.
