Watford’s Town Hall Quarter scheme has recently secured the approval of several councillors. The hope is that the regeneration will boost the town hall and the adjacent Watford Colosseum. The scheme will also involve the construction of 300 new homes, along with the provision of new workspaces. Pedestrianisation of part of the road network has also been discussed.
Peter Taylor, the Mayor of Watford, said he recognises the importance of planning in terms of the economic recovery from the pandemic. He told the Watford Observer:
“The Town Hall Quarter will create an attractive and distinctive new neighbourhood in this part of the town, promoting Watford’s fantastic cultural and heritage sectors and playing an important role in our commitment to fostering new businesses and a strong local economy.”
Progress on the vision has been made, with over £2 million being allocated to the project. This money shall partly be spent on design, while the attraction of an appropriate development partner takes place. Making use of Graphic Design Services can be beneficial when planning developments like this, particularly when there is a need for consultation.
Although councillors have given their approval for the initiative, there is a need to include other stakeholders in the process. Businesses and local residents will also have a contribution to make.Get a Free Quote for Graphic Design Services Get a Free Quote for Plans
