Popular 1980s band coming to Watford

One of the most successful British bands of the 1980s will be coming to Watford as part of their upcoming tour, marking the first concert for a refurbished local venue.

Level 42 had a number of hit singles during that decade, including the likes of ‘Lessons in Love’ and ‘Something about You’. The album that brought them their commercial breakthrough was ‘World Machine’ in 1985 and they will be marking its 40th anniversary next year with a tour where the play every song live. One of the stops during that tour is set to be in Watford.

The venue for the show will be Watford Colosseum. This is closed to the public at the moment, while it undergoes an extensive refurbishment. It is due to reopen during 2025 though, and this concert is scheduled to be the first at the new-look venue.

There is sure to be a lot of demand for tickets, as Level 42 remain a popular band with a large following. Local venues still need to advertise their upcoming shows though and flyer printing from shops in Watford is one way to do that.

According to the Watford Observer, the Level 42 singer and bassist Mark King stated:

“I am so excited to be able to announce the ‘World Machine’ 40th Anniversary Tour for 2025.”

The band will play Watford on 15th October.
