A number of brand new padel courts are set to be built on the site of a bowls club in Watford, after the local council opted to approve the Plans.
The company that applied for permission to build these courts is Padelstars, and there will be five of them in total. The site that has been chosen used to be home to Owls Bowls Club and is located within Watford Woodside Leisure Centre and Stadium. Watford Borough Council made the decision to approve the Plans at the end of last month.
The club closed its doors for good six years ago and has mostly been empty since then. The decision to allow its conversion into padel courts makes sense, because that sport is growing rapidly in popularity. It is a racquet sport, but the courts used are smaller than those in tennis.
Three of the new padel courts will be indoor ones with floodlighting, while the other two will be open air. The former clubhouse is set to be renovated and turned into changing rooms and toilets.
When leisure centres in the town add new amenities, brochure printing by Watford shops can be useful to them. It can help them let people know what is on offer.
The application submitted by Padelstars said that the courts would add valuable sporting infrastructure and entertainment for the local community.Get a Free Quote for Plans
