These containers are believed to be a part of the steel frame that will support the structure, which will consist of up to 44 containers in total, spread out over two floors. Builders and construction workers are expecting a delivery of more containers in the coming weeks, and will be continuing to work on the steelwork.
Watford Borough Council had released Plans for the refurbishment of the town’s market, with the project costing around £2 million. Designers have made use of Print companies and released impressions that made use of digital printing to depict the new design, which will feature a canopy roof and lighting Signs.
Mayor Dorothy Thornhill has highlighted that the market is an important part of the Watford community and adds to the town’s character and atmosphere. She says:
“Watford has had a market since the 12th century and we want to ensure that it will have one for years to come.”
The market is moving to a new town centre location off High Street, moving from its current location in Charter Place, and is said to have room for approximately 40 permanent stalls, all covered by the canopy roof, so that traders can do business in all weather. The market is expected to open this autumn.Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Plans Get a Free Quote for Print
