Set4Sport, the organisation founded by Andy's mother Judy, hosted the sessions at Croxley Tennis Club to encourage local children to participate in the sport. On the back of Murray's triumph, interest in Tennis has spiked and with the school summer holidays coming up, more local children and parents are looking for ways to get involved.
The social media manager of the tennis club, Jonathon Solomons, spoke about the sessions, saying:
"Everyone absolutely loved it, and the kids thought it was brilliant. On the day it became apparent just how important it is to get the parents to watch the activities, as that way they get ideas of things to do with their kids at home.
"There was a closer engagement between the kids and their parents and that was really lovely to see. Lots of people said they want to come back again."
Tennis clubs like the one in Croxley Green often promote coaching and training sessions using leaflets that have been printed using eye-catching full colour printing. Watford and Croxley residents wishing to find out more about what's on offer at local tennis clubs this summer should look out for this kind of promotional material.
