Cafe offers free meals to community

A café in the vicinity of Watford has served up some free meals.

The Café in the Park is located in Rickmansworth near Watford. Its staff thanked the local community for its loyalty via the provision of free hot meals to individuals who needed them. These meals were given out over a period of two days. The place is usually open seven days a week. Poster printing can add extra colour to eateries, especially when promotions are taking place.

Due to the health and safety rules associated with the pandemic, the free meals in question were distributed on a takeaway basis. Jel Moran, who works at the Café in the Park, told the Watford Observer that it had been a tough time for everyone. Moran admitted that it had been a bold move to make the food outlet vegetarian and said:

“Thankfully you our community in the most part supported our decision and continue to visit us.”

Before the café had gone vegetarian, its customers did enjoy some meat. Moran revealed that the sausage roll had been the most popular product with the public prior to the transformation of the menu.

Moran’s main message was to stress the café’s appreciation for its customers. Without the consistent support from local people, it would have been more difficult to keep the café doors open.
