A building in Watford that houses the town’s business centre could be set to be knocked down, if Plans are approved by the council.
The building in question is home to the Wenta Business Centre and is situated on Colne Way in North Watford. The plans that have been sent to the council would see it demolished and brand new structures built in its place. The revamped site would be a mix of office spaces, recreation areas, storage facilities and spaces for flexible working.
Wenta is the company that owns the existing building and it is also the firm responsible for the application. It would be the owner of the planned new facility too, which has been given the name The Domeworks. This is a reference to how close the site is to the Dome roundabout.
When facilities like this are built and companies move into them, they often look for other useful local services to support them. One example of those services could be shops in Watford that provide Corporate Gifts, for winning over potential clients or thanking existing ones.
In addition to the amenities that are listed above, the revamped site would also feature parking for 128 vehicles. At the moment, the site has 72 parking spaces.
No date for when a decision will be made by the council has yet been revealed.
