Animal charity open day to take place in Watford

It's set to be a dog's life during the bank holiday in Watford, as an animal charity opens its doors for its annual fundraising event.

The National Animal Welfare Trust, based on Tylers Way, works to protect animals and pets in the region and relies upon donations from the public to keep its work going.

The fundraising event is a way for the centre to invite local people through its doors to see the work it does and to drum up vital support by asking attendees to dig deep to give what they can.

Jackie de Friez is the manager of the animal centre. She spoke about the occasion, saying:

"It’s a great community day which really makes people aware of the work we do here at the centre and there’s always a wonderful atmosphere. We’re so grateful for people’s support."

Events like this are often more successful if they have been promoted using tried-and-tested marketing methods like poster or flyer printing. Printing companies in Watford are able to create this kind of promotional material and they often work with charitable organisations to do so.

The open day will feature a number of activities for all members of the family, with a pet agility course, a dog show and even a canine parade. Locals are encouraged to bring their pooches along on the day to join in the fun.

The open day will being held on Monday August 26 and more information is available directly from the centre.
