Tunbridge Wells to host childrens theatre
A well-known venue in Tunbridge Wells is set to host a production designed for younger theatre goers this March based on a beloved children’s book.
The Assembly Rooms in Tunbridge Wells will be presenting a theatre production of “Room on the Broom” adapted from the best-selling book from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler who also created the critically acclaimed Gruffalo series. From concert halls and cinemas to theatres and picture houses, local venues hosting shows for children often employ poster printing services to create brightly coloured advertisements that appeal to kids.
While Room on The Broom has previously been portrayed as an animation on television, this latest rendition sees the book take to the stage featuring a full cast and specially designed puppets. Designed with an audience aged three and above in mind, the tale involves a kindly witch who takes on more passengers than her broomstick can bear and features laughs, scares and songs.
A reviewer for entertainment magazine Time Out gave the show four stars and described it as:
