Live sleuthing set for Tunbridge Wells stage
A renowned venue in Tunbridge Wells is set to welcome a stage adaptation of the final Sherlock Holmes story.
A theatrical version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Valley of Fear” will be performed live on stage at the Assembly Rooms in Tunbridge Wells this spring. Theatres and picture houses often employ professional printing services to create one-sheets in a variety of shapes and sizes that advertise their upcoming shows.
Packed full of mystery, adventure and brilliant deductions, the play takes the great consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his faithful friend Dr John Watson from 221B Baker Street to Vermissa Valley in Pennsylvania.
Coded messages, murder and intrigue are afoot as their investigation leads them down a path of confusing clues.
While working the case, Holmes uncovers a dark world of corruption and a sinister society at work led by his arch-nemesis, Professor Moriarty.
The play is presented by the Blackeyed Theatre company, which has received critical acclaim from the press. The Stage commented:
