Whisky blending workshop to be held in South Birmingham

A whisky blending workshop will be conducted by The Whisky Lounge in South Birmingham next month.

This event will enable those interested to learn about creating their own whisky blend. The focus in the past has tended to be on malt whisky, with blended whisky largely being overlooked. It is worth considering since a good blended whisky can be in the same class as quality single malts, a fact that deserves wider recognition.

Blending whisky is an art form, but it doesn't have to be the preserve of experts. Those with an open mind, who are willing to use their palate and apply a critical mind, can develop a blended whisky.

There will be an opportunity to attempt a couple of classic blends in order to determine the benchmark prior to being allowed to experiment with the equipment and a group of select whiskies. The task is then to create a blend, think of a suitable name, bottle the result in a miniature bottle, produce a label and then finally take it home.

The cost of attendance is £42.78 and those doing so must be 18 plus, with photo ID being a requirement. Printing services play an essential part in the development of corporate identity, through the creation of a standout Logo Design.

The Whisky Blending Workshop will take place between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday 16th January at the Edgbaston Hotel in south Birmingham.
