Irish comedy to entertain Solihull

A theatre in Solihull is welcoming a comedian from Dublin to its stage this autumn for a single-night show.

Residents looking for a night of laughter can catch this upcoming performance. Entitled Acting the Divil, the one-hour show features Enya Martin, a comic from Ireland who will explore the comedic side of fitness culture and the truth about being in a childless, long-term relationship.

Those joining the event can hear Martin reflect on being raised on a council estate during the ‘90s and flying with a first-class ticket to Australia, while exploring the hurdles she has faced that led her to become the comedian she is now.

Described as a “comedic machine”, by fellow comic Joanne McNally, Martin also presents on Dublin radio. In 2021, she was featured in Deadly Cuts, a Netflix comedy movie, and in 2025 she took her shows to the Sydney Comedy Festival. She will return to Australia this year to play three major events.

Enya Martin - Acting the Divil will now be on stage at The Core Theatre on Thursday, October 15. The show begins at 7.45 pm, and the venue is situated in Theatre Square, Touchwood on Homer Road in Solihull. Tickets are available priced at £20 per person, plus a transaction fee.
