Acting education on offer in Solihull

A performing arts theatre in Solihull is hosting a course designed to introduce candidates to acting.

Solihull townspeople interested in acting on the screen and stage can participate in this upcoming educational experience. Launching in spring and running into summer, the course is called “Introduction to Acting”, and those aged 18 or over are eligible to enrol.

Educational institutions running courses often use professionally designed Letterheads carrying their crest to communicate with students who sign up.

The 10-week course is designed to provide adults with a fun beginner-level education delivered in a supportive and friendly environment. Those taking part will get an opportunity to discover acting techniques in a practical yet playful way. As a result, the course is suited to aspiring performers and those simply seeking a new and rewarding experience.

Activities include drama games, group exercises and improvisation. Students will also learn how to develop the characters they play and experience multiple acting approaches. How to use body and voice through physical and vocal exercises will be explored, and all enrolees will rehearse a scene from a selected play.

The Introduction to Acting Course begins on Thursday, April 23 and runs on selected dates up until Thursday, July 2 at The Core Theatre. The venue is situated in Theatre Square on Homer Road in Solihull, and the price of admission is £150 per person.
