South Birmingham to sample veganism

Birmingham Vegan Festival, organised by Farplace Fundraising, is due to be held in South Birmingham at the beginning of March.

The festival consists of a series of vegan stalls, all serving a selection of food and drink from around the world. This is complemented by those selling clothes, cosmetics and accessories, as well as a number of stalls hosted by campaign organisations.

There will several guest speakers engaging with the public and informing them about their work and ideas. It also includes the presentation of educational documentaries on food choices and how they impact on the environment, individual wellbeing and animal welfare.

Veganism is growing in popularity, with increasing numbers of people taking it up the lifestyle, whether for health reasons or as an ethical choice. This event should appeal not only to those who are already vegans, but also to those interested in learning more about it as a lifestyle choice.

Standard tickets start at £3 and VIP tickets at £15, which include earlier entry and a bag full of vegan goodies. Under 16s get in free, with tickets also available for purchase at the door. Printing services can be invaluable to anyone looking to promote a local event like this.

The Birmingham Vegan Festival will take place between 9am and 4pm on Saturday, 6th March at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, South Birmingham.
