A bid writing course aimed at charities and communities groups is due to be held in South Birmingham at the end of April.
The full-day course, presented by Get Grants, gives practical advice and support on how to become a better fundraiser. This is achieved by providing expert insights into and relaying key information about the grant-giving process. This will enable people to make better use of the time available by developing a more systematic approach.
It is designed for both novice grant fundraisers and those looking hone and build on their fundraising experience. The course can help with the launch or bringing a long-cherished project to fruition, enabling an organisation to grow more rapidly. The sessions themselves are conversational and open, combining individual tasks and group work with time to ask questions.
A wide range of topics is covered from identifying and choosing the right funding opportunities and creating proposals to adopting different case strategies and looking at impact and outcomes. Attendees can learn what determines a good budget, how applications are assessed and understand the reasons why they fail.
Tickets cost £135.01, which includes lunch and refreshments. Stationery printers can be used as a resource in both the commercial and non-commercial sectors.
The Bid Writing Course for Charities and Communities Groups will take place between 9:30am and 4pm on Friday 24th April at The Moseley Exchange in South Birmingham.
