South Birmingham samples experimental pop

Jane Weaver, hosted by This Is Tmrw and Moonshine, is due to play a gig in South Birmingham at the beginning of November.

A perennial presence on the UK's experimental synth-pop music scene, the Times described Weaver as "stylish and highly original". Her self-propelled musical career has now reached a critical watershed with her new album "Flock" released earlier this year.

Inspired by Factory Records’ Rob Gretton and much sought after for live performances by names like Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley, she was also a member of Guilty Pleasures, Sean Rowley's, DJ team.

The 2014 album "The Silver Globe" became Piccadilly Records No. 1 album. Her music has featured in fashion campaigns for Chloe and Chanel, on TV in "Killing Eve" as well as on the soundtrack for the film "Kiss Of The Damned".

This is combined with a desire to promote, through the Bird Records label, Manchester's female musicians such as Cate Le Bon. Weaver has also worked for Finders Keepers Records as a compiler and is a children's author.

Tickets cost £13 with a minimum age of entry set at 18. Stationery printers can be a useful resource when running a business or promoting an event.

The Jane Weaver gig has a starting time of 7:30 pm on Friday, November 5 at The Hare & Hounds, South Birmingham.
