South Birmingham celebrates 17th festival

The 17th annual Moseley Folk & Arts Festival is due to be held in South Birmingham at the beginning of September.

This constitutes an eclectic mix of contemporary, traditional and experimental folk, global and indigenous music. It showcases both unsigned acts as well as recognised artists. Indeed, it is an opportunity to draw the attention of the wider music industry to new talent.

The headliners for the forthcoming three-day festival are the 90s Britpop band Supergrass, plus the American blues guitarist Seasick Steve. Also turning in an appearance will be 70s prog-rock band Jethro Tull; not to mention The Coral, with their distinctive blend of ska, pop and punk sounds.

Other highlights include esteemed poets, the 60s musical artist Vashti Bunyan, who has agreed to discuss her memoir, whilst the Yorkshire folk duo The Magpies are in performance.

This gathering attracts a large audience, not only from the Midlands region but from much further afield. There are guaranteed refreshments on offer including beers, available from the onsite bars together with street food provided by accredited vendors.

Tickets range in price from £27 to £145.40 inclusive of a booking fee. Promotional Pens can be a novel way of publicising a large-scale musical and theatrical event.

The Festival will take place between Friday 2nd and Sunday 4th September at Moseley Park, South Birmingham.
