South Birmingham anticipates investment expo

The Birmingham Uganda Investment Expo is due to be held over three days in South Birmingham at the end of August.

This is a community-led group that involves both Ugandans resident in the UK and in Uganda itself acting together with individuals, companies and sponsors from around the world. Its objective is to establish a platform in order to develop strong commercial ties and to forge mutually beneficial long term investment partnerships. There exists considerable untapped investment opportunities in the country waiting to be explored by entrepreneurs.

The expo is aimed at both professionals and non-professionals alike, working in a wide variety of sectors. it is scheduled to focus primarily on four themes including agriculture, real estate, health and social care as well as education and research. It should also be of interest to manufacturers, financial institutions and government bodies, as well as independent organisations such as NGOs, charities and even religious groups.

Those attending are required to pay a registration fee confirming participation, of £200 for individuals and £400 for exhibitor stalls. Companies, organisations or individuals can either register to attend or participate through sponsorship. It is perhaps, given the networking opportunities available, worthwhile for attendees to consider having some extra business card printing done in preparation.

Birmingham Uganda Investment Expo will take place between 8pm on Friday 28th August and 6pm on Sunday 30th August at the Hallmark Hotel in South Birmingham.
