The Canadian singer/songwriter Cate (Caitlin Canning) is currently on tour and due to play a gig in South Birmingham in mid-October.
She hails from Vancouver, and after leaving high school began visiting Los Angeles for writing symposiums as well as to pitch to fellow artists. It was on one of these occasions that she met the songwriter and musician Cian Ducrot.
They got together with another Canadian artist Tessa Mouzourakis and subsequently moved to England, all three sharing a North London flat. Indeed, the trio co-wrote 'Love, the Madness', Cate’s first EP. A series of songs exploring the coming-of-age phenomena that quickly featured on streaming playlists.
In December 2020 'Can’t-Wait To Be Pretty' came out, a track about self-love that resonated with many fans. Cate deliberately leaked 'Groupie' in February 2021 on TikTok, a song focusing on infatuation. This drew an enthusiastic response.
Her debut album 'Tell Me Things You Won't Take' was released in October 2022. It has produced several singles including her latest 'Girlfriend' which appeared in June this year.
Tickets cost £13.75 inclusive of a transaction tax. Brochure printing should not be underestimated as a promotional tool by those involved in preparations for a concert or musical event.
Cate's gig has a starting time of 7.30pm on Sunday 15th October at Hare & Hounds, South Birmingham.
