Pupils motoring website steps up a gear

A pupil from a midlands school looks set to become something of a young entrepreneur as he launches his own car review website - despite not being old enough to have a driving license.

North Leamington School pupil William Savage has launched his own website, TopCarNews.co.uk, to give news and information on new cars to anyone who is interested in them, whatever their age. He was inspired to create the website by a simple poster of a car on his wall, just as others have been inspired by the images of sportspeople or musicians that have been reproduced using poster printing.

South Birmingham, Warwickshire and the wider Midlands region has strong links with the motoring industry and so it makes sense that this should be the focus of William's website.

His father, Andrew Savage, commented on this, saying:

“Living in the Midlands, where there is a strong renewed growth of the motoring industry, William thought he would have a go at creating the website as an adventure."

William has already received support for his website from local car dealerships that are helping him get access to vehicles to review them.

William himself spoke about the new website, saying:

"I have learnt that it takes a lot of time to turn my classroom idea into reality but I have met some very helpful people on my journey. The website is aimed for anyone aged between three and 83 that has an interest in motoring, becoming a young car designer or engineer, or wants ideas for fun events.”

The website was launched at William's school on October 17th.
