The apartments will be located on the site of a defunct ice rink. The Silver Blades complex is situated on Pershore Street, and the new building will be named The Forum. Over 330 apartments will eventually be made available for rent. Marketing services in south Birmingham can be used to promote new developments.
Atlas Residential shall manage and let the apartments on behalf of Rockspring Property Development Managers. Councillor Peter Griffiths, who is responsible for housing at Birmingham City Council, has attended a topping out ceremony. Councillor Griffiths told the Birmingham Post:
“Developments such as this one will help ease the housing crisis and provide much needed homes. I visited The Forum 12 months ago, as the groundworks were completed and the concrete frames were going up. It's great to return to site and see the progress, including a fully fitted apartment.”
Some of the accommodation will be in the studio format. Whereas, some of the apartments shall be units containing two bedrooms. Amenities are going to include a gym, a communal living space, a rooftop area and a courtyard.
Linkcity has managed a stage of the development process. The managing director at Linkcity, Nicolas Guérin, has expressed satisfaction at the progress made and gratitude to his partners. The major contractor, Bouygues UK, is poised to finish off the project.
