Birmingham cinema slashes ticket prices

Odeon New Street has become the second Birmingham-based multiplex cinema to significantly reduce its ticket prices in a year.

Residents of both north and south Birmingham, together with visitors from across the country, are sure to be thrilled by the new prices which enable adults to enjoy a film from just £5 per person, reduced from the former price of £9.25. For considerable price cuts such as this, businesses will often use poster printing services to attract as many customers as possible.

Ticket prices for cinemas across the city vary wildly depending on the film, the time of the screening and the kind of seat required. Facilities available also differ from cinema to cinema and may include screens with special effects, free parking and/or different types of food and drink, from traditional popcorn to chips and even treats from branded names like Costa Coffee or Starbucks.

Odeon New Street’s ticket price reduction is likely to draw many to its plush seats and large screens. However, whilst boasting a prime location for those travelling by train or tram, cinema-goers may be put off by the prices at the nearby Bullring shopping centre car park which currently stand at a staggering £10.00 for parking for three to four hours.

Regardless of this, the price drop has effectively set a new standard and many will be waiting to see whether other nearby cinemas are soon to follow suit.
