Redditch voluntary group plan special celebration

A voluntary organisation based in Redditch has reached 50 years since it was launched this year, and its members have devised a special celebration to mark the occasion.

Redditch Lions was set up to serve the local community, providing both financial and volunteer help for anyone who needs it. Now, the members of this club have decided to mark its 50-year anniversary by putting together a huge tea party and are inviting 50 elderly people who live within the town.

The venue for the party will be Archer’s Restaurant, a popular eatery situated right in the heart of Redditch. Alongside the food and drinks, the senior citizens who attend it will also be treated to a live performance by Matchborough First School pupils.

Voluntary organisations like the Redditch Lions can get help from shops in the town that supply Logo Design if they need to come up with a brand that is attractive and memorable.

The president of the Lions, Jeff Jennings, stated that the group was aiming to get the town’s MP and Mayor to come along as well. He added that the idea was to mark the organisation’s birthday while also giving older people in the area something that they can look forward to and enjoy.

Planning for the tea party has begun; it is set to take on September 28.
