This store would be a Morrisons Daily, according to the documents that were sent to Worcestershire Regulatory Service. The company has submitted this application so that it would be able to sell alcohol from the premises, between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm. If everything goes as planned, the new Morrisons store would open in a vacant unit at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre on Kingfisher Walk.
A spokesperson for that centre has revealed that discussions with the supermarket chain are currently at an advanced stage. The licensing application has been posted on what would be the front of the store.
The Kingfisher Centre general manager is Fiona Faizey. Speaking to the Redditch Advertiser, she said:
“Their arrival would be a fantastic addition to our retail mix, complementing our existing offer and providing greater choice and convenience for our shoppers.”
