Redditch to host Start-Up Masterclass

A two day Start-Up Masterclass is due to be held in Redditch in early December.

This course, which is organised by Enterprise for Success and led by a professional Business Advisor from Blue Orchid, covers all of the essential elements involved in starting up and maintaining a business during its first year. It encompasses everything the new entrepreneur needs to know from having the right frame of mind, to understanding and exercising techniques of financial control.

The topics in sharp focus include determining the optimal legal framework and utilising tools and information in researching an idea. It will also examine the process involved in identifying both the target market and the potential competition.

The importance of developing a coherent business plan in order to attract finance is covered, along with an appreciation of start-up costs and developing skills in financial forecasting. Finally, understanding customers and effective marketing, together with branding and promotion, and implementing an effective sales strategy will be discussed.

Entry to this course is free and the event should prove to be of interest to those starting out in business, as well as those simply seeking help to expand their enterprise during its initial period of trading.
