Redditch to host comedy and rock music show

Redditch is set to play host to a show that combines comedy and rock music, and which features comic Jasper Carrot alongside musician Bev Bevan.

The two came up with the idea for Stand Up & Rock a few years ago and it has proved to be a huge hit with audiences around the country. The last of the shows they put on before Covid-19 hit the UK was in November of 2019, but now they are preparing to return to stage in 2022, and one of the venues that has been lined up is the Palace Theatre in Redditch.

Venues often rely on graphic design outlets based in the same area to help with the creation of advertising Posters for their shows.

Carrot is one of the most successful comedians in the UK, who had his own long-running show on the BBC, while Bevan has had a long rock music career that saw him help found The Move in the 1960s and The Electric Light Orchestra in the 1970s.

Speaking to the Redditch Advertiser, Carrot stated that he was thrilled at the prospect of performing live again, before adding:

“One of the joys is getting back to the basic roots of stand-up comedy, eyeball to eyeball with the audience.”

They will perform in Redditch between May 18 to 21, 2022.
