Redditch to get brand-new museum

With the necessary funding and a suitable site secured, Redditch is set to get a brand-new museum that will showcase the history of the town.

The organisation behind this project is the Redditch Local History Museum Group, and it has long been trying to raise the cash and find the right spot for the museum. Fortunately, a fundraising campaign succeeded in generating nearly £30,000, and an ideal site has now been purchased in Market Place, within the heart of the town, ensuring it can go ahead.

This museum will be home to a vast array of local memorabilia and artefacts that were at risk of disappearing. These have been collected by the Redditch Local History Society over the years, and have had to be stored in conditions that are unsuitable, which left them in serious danger of being irreparably damaged.

Logo Design services based locally can help with the branding of new visitor attractions like this museum before they open to the public.

Speaking to the Redditch Advertiser, 75-year-old Derek Coombes of the museum group said:

“It’s been a long time coming. We are pleased with it because it’s in the Church Green Conservation Area. The plan now is to get more volunteers on board.”

The group is hoping the museum will be ready for its opening within two months.
