Redditch Railway Station consultation planned

A public consultation is being planned on proposals for the revamping of Redditch Railway Station, in order to find out what people who live in the town think of the initial designs for it.

These designs giving an idea of what the redeveloped station may look like have now been released. Worcestershire County Council regards the project to overhaul the facility as one of its key priorities, as it will mean that getting to and from the centre of town is easier for people living in other parts of Redditch.

Speaking to Rail Business Daily, Marc Bayliss from the county council stated that:

“I feel very positive and excited about our Plans for Redditch Railway Station and I’m keen to hear the feedback from residents, businesses and visitors to see what they think.”

Bayliss went on to add that the revamped station would lead to new travel, education, leisure and job opportunities for people throughout the town, in addition to enhancing connectivity. He concluded by saying that the aim was to provide a station that everyone in the area could take pride in.

Graphic design outlets in Redditch can be useful in helping to create images of planned new projects like this, so that people taking part in public consultations can see what they might look like.

The consultation on the station Plans is scheduled to last until 7th August.
