The NHS Parliamentary Awards were created to honour people who work for the health service and who have done that bit more during the year to support their patients. The awards for 2023 are set to be extra-special, as this year represents the 75th anniversary of the creation of the National Health Service in the UK.
Now the MP for Redditch, Rachel MacLean, has put out a call to people in the town to suggest NHS staff that fit the bill. This includes people who have done something to improve the way that the health service in the area looks after residents, or who have innovated in some way.
Poster printing from shops in Redditch is one way that word can be spread quickly about local campaigns of this kind in the local area.
Speaking to the Redditch Advertiser, MacLean stated that her father had worked for the NHS, adding:
“The Alexandra Hospital is at the heart of the delivery of healthcare in Redditch and across Worcestershire and it is staffed by the most hard-working and dedicated doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals.”
The deadline for nominations is 20th April.
