The headquarters of Diamond Buses is located within Redditch, and part-time and full-time vacancies have been made available. Candidates with appropriate driving licences will be given priority through the event. Leaflets from Redditch are likely to be used as part of the recruitment campaign.
The Diamond Buses drive for recruits is not the first effort by employers to attract suitable workers in the area. A fair promoting local opportunity was held within a shopping centre at the heart of Redditch. This event was backed by Karen Lumley, a Redditch MP. Dave Brundrit, a manager at Diamond Buses, said:
“It is always exciting to hold a recruitment drive as we get to meet so many interesting people. We are looking for friendly, customer focused drivers who take a pride in serving the local community.”
Brundrit knows the importance of staff quality to his organisation, and has explained that drivers are ambassadors for the brand.
Andy Brook, a driver in the Redditch area, has revealed how much he enjoys working at Diamond Buses and getting to know his passengers. He started work back in April and has said that he has already established a rapport with regular travellers, noting that every working day is different.
The recruitment day will be held this Saturday, June 11, with more info available at the Diamond website.
