Paul Young to visit Redditch

One of the most successful British pop stars of the 1980s will be visiting Redditch late next year, as he embarks on a tour of the UK to promote his new album.

Paul Young scored numerous hits during the decade of big hair, shoulder pads and yuppies, including ‘Every Time You Go Away’, ‘Love of the Common People’ and ‘Wherever I Lay My Hat’. His debut album, called ‘No Parlez’, was the launching pad for that success as it reached number one on the UK chart and provided him with his first big singles hits.

Young kept that initial success going into the rest of the decade, contributing to the Band Aid single in 1984 and performing at the Live Aid concert the following year. Now, he is marking the 40th anniversary of the release of ‘No Parlez’ by embarking on a tour and releasing a new album and autobiography.

Both this look back at his life in the music world and his latest album have been given the title ‘Behind the Lens’, and he will pay a visit to Redditch as part of the tour to promote them. The Redditch Palace Theatre will be the venue for this and local theatres often use brochure printing services so that they can stock leaflets detailing their upcoming shows.

Young is scheduled to perform in Redditch on 11th October 2023.
