New homes planned for Redditch

Redditch could be set to get hundreds of brand-new homes, with the news that a housing developer has put together a draft plan for such a scheme at a vacant site in the town.

Morris Homes has hopes of a scheme that would consist of 265 houses at the site at Mappleborough Green, which is in east Redditch. The project is still at a very early stage right now, as the developer has yet to actually submit Plans to the local council for planning approval, but it has indicated that it is already collaborating with the councils in Redditch and Stratford on the scheme.

Collaboration with the two councils is necessary, as the chosen spot for the homes to be built upon lies across the administrative border of these two areas. Housing developers sometimes look to local outlets that provide Logo Design services to help with their branding and promotional materials.

If the Plans are eventually given the green light, Morris Homes would create a number of additional amenities alongside the houses. These would include paths and other means of improving access to areas of woodland nearby, sections of open space for public use and attenuation areas.

It will be Redditch Borough Council that takes the lead on the project, as most of the chosen development site is within its boundary.
