An annual running event that is designed to raise money for charities in the local area is set to return to Redditch later in the year.
The Redditch Kingfisher 10k is a very popular event among people of all ages within the town. It is organised each year by Raceways Events CIC, with the primary purpose of acting as a charity fundraiser. The good causes that will benefit from it in 2024 are the Friends of Isaac’s Food Bank, on Throckmorton Road, and Safeline, which is a new partner organisation.
Alongside the Kingfisher 10k will be a fun day for families. Redditch BID is putting it together as a companion to the main event, with the activities on offer including learning circus skills, fairground rides and face painting.
Youngsters will also have the option of entering their own Kids Fun Run of 1k. This will begin and finish at the same point as the adult race and each child who takes part will be awarded a medal.
Promotional Pens and other items created by shops in Redditch is just one of the ways in which the organisers of events of this sort can advertise themselves, both in advance and on the day.
A spokesperson, Kirsty Leahy, said that residents would not want to miss out on the fun.
It takes place on 27th October.
