Where Next has branches in both Redditch and Studley, and it has received nominations across a number of categories for this year’s Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards. This is in recognition of the work those employed by the charity have done to keep providing support to people in the area who need it during the COVID-19 crisis.
Russell Wall, who is its head of operations, is in contention for both the Care Hero Award and the Care Employer Award, having been nominated for the latter by his colleague Nic Wilkinson. Wilkinson stated that he wanted to put Wall forward because of the way he looks after his staff.
Wilkinson is also nominated in the Care Hero category, for the virtual creative and fitness sessions he has been providing during lockdown. He was nominated by Julie Roycroft, who said when speaking to the Redditch Advertiser:
“The sessions are fantastic, and it is lovely to see so many people joining in with the activities, smiling, chatting, having a laugh and joke with their friends and staff.”
