Reading hosts creative workshop
A session designed for emerging artists will be held in Reading later this year at a creative studio in the centre of town.
Budding artists based in Reading can soon participate in a workshop run by New Wave Creatives. Titled “Exhibition”, the interactive opportunity invites creative residents aged between 18 and 28 to curate an exhibition in the windows of Jelly studios.
A supportive group for up-and-coming artists, New Wave Creatives regularly holds workshops from its base located in Reading shopping centre, the Broad Street Mall. Organisations and groups hosting creative classes and workshops sometimes use professional brochure printing services to make promotional booklets that explain skills being taught.
The two-hour evening event is a monthly meet up where artists can connect and collaborate with like-minded creatives, pick up new abilities and improve their work. An inclusive experience, the workshop is open to art students, graduates and those who are self-taught.
The workshop is led by New Wave Creatives facilitator and skilled artist, Brenda Goodchild, and participants can bring some of their work along to display in the exhibition which will run throughout the month.
New Wave Creatives “Exhibition” workshop will run at Jelly on Thursday, November 6. The studios can be found on the first floor of the Broad Street Mall in Reading and the session starts at 5.30 pm and ends at 7.30 pm.
