Potters Bar to host police-themed comedy show

Alfie Moore, the police officer-turned-comedian, is set to play a gig in Potters Bar at the beginning of October.

Born in Sheffield, the retired policeman brings his own distinctive brand of comedy to the stage. He started performing stand-up comedy in 2007 after trying his hand at a comedy club, and he soon began touring these routines. This has included performing six times at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the one-man show “I Predict A Riot”, which was nominated for the festival’s main award.

The comedian has starred on ITV’s “Show Me The Funny”, as well as writing and presenting BBC Radio’s “Alfie Moore’s Almanac”. He has also had appearances on “Comic Relief”, Channel 5’s “The Wright Stuff” and Channel 4’s “Confessions of a Police Officer”.

Moore’s popular BBC Radio 4 Show “It’s A Fair Cop” started in 2014, and the comedian is now touring as part of his “Fair Cop Unleashed” show. This is based on a real incident from his policing career, when a mysterious clown arrived in town and threw everything into disarray.

Tickets cost £16, with a choice of seats. Print shops can be a useful resource when it comes to promoting a theatrical event like this.

Alfie Moore: Fair Cop Unleashed has a starting time of 7.30pm on Sunday, 10th October at Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar.
