Potters Bar to appreciate cinematic experience

Rare footage from film and television will be screened at a theatre in Potters Bar this autumn as part of a fun-filled event.

Cinephiles and TV addicts in Potters Bar are in for a treat, as a special show is coming to the Herefordshire town that will see rare television episodes and lost film footage projected on the big screen.

Cinemas and picture houses regularly rely on poster printing services to promote the titles they show to the moviegoing public.

Dubbed “The Footage Detectives Saving Celluloid”, the weekend event will allow ticketholders to get comfortable in a 420-seat cinema and enjoy an eclectic mix of rarely scene content. Along with the exclusive screenings, those coming to the event will get to browse a range of specialist stallholders selling collectables and celluloid classics.

There will also be an informative question and answer session with TV and film professionals. These include children’s TV producer Nick Wilson, director Roy Gould and James Bond stuntman, Paul Weston, who doubled for Sir Roger Moore.

The Footage Detectives Saving Celluloid will now be at Wyllyotts Theatre on Sunday, November 16. Doors to the event will open at 10 am and the show will finish at 7 pm. The theatre is simple to find at Wyllyotts Place on Darkes Lane, across the street from the railway station, and free parking is available.
